Persian Gulf (April 27, 2006) -- During a passing exercise with the French nuclear powered surface vessel, FS Charles de Gaulle (R-91), French Rafale aircraft performed a touch-and-go on the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Reagan and embarked carrier Air wing One Four (CVW-14) are currently deployed as part of a routine rotation of U.S. maritime forces conducting Maritime Security Operations (MSO) in the region.
